Why a Person and an Organisation Should Not Share the Same AI Identity
Collapsing personal identity and organisational context creates ownership, attribution and authority problems.
The convenient shortcut
It is tempting to create one AI profile that blends a person's experience, a company's knowledge and every previous interaction.
The ownership problem
A person's expertise may travel with them. A company's confidential methods may not. Organisational proof should not silently become personal proof.
The authority problem
A person's role can change. Access can be revoked. Decision Authority can be different across organisations and projects.
The attribution problem
The system should be able to distinguish what came from the person, what came from the organisation and what came from an external source.
A better model
Keep individual identity and organisational representation distinct. Use the relationship between them to determine which context appropriately informs the work.
